DEFEND NOT END (notend.org) is a charitable initiative defending western civilisation by urging people to defend Christianity and defend free speech.

Why is it important for western nations to defend Christianity?

Western civilisation found within western nations is rooted in Christianity and Christian values. Nobody expects everyone in the west to follow Christianity but that doesn't mean that it is wise to ditch the Christian foundations of western nations. Christianity has been and continues to be a force for good as it confronts the realities that absolutely nobody is perfect and that everyone is capable of doing better (capable of becoming less imperfect by following Jesus Christ). Without defending and maintaining Christian foundations, western nations are seriously endangering their links with western civilisation.

Why is it important for western nations to defend free speech?

Western civilisation found within western nations is rooted in freedom of speech (free speech). Western nations need to be very wary of any faith or ideology opposed to free speech as in effect free speech opponents are subverting the very essence of western civilisation. Without defending and maintaining free speech, western nations are seriously endangering their links with western civilisation.
